What is L-Taurine?
Taurine is an abundant amino found in the central nervous system, skeletal muscle, and heart. It’s found in meat but not in vegetables. Taurine has recently been reported to prevent cataracts and certain forms of heart disease. It also appears to have some antioxidant and detoxifying activity. Taurine aids the movement of potassium, sodium, calcium, and magnesium in and out of cells and thus helps generate nerve impulses.
