How does quickcast work?
Quickcast is an ability that trades off increased mana usage for the ability to get a spell off in half the time, with almost no chance of interruption. To use quickcast, first make a hotkey for your quickcast ability. Then, when you want to quickcast a spell, hit quickcast and then the spell you want to fire. Simple as that. Well, not quite simple as that. Quickcast is on a 30-second timer, so you can’t just quickcast all the time. Also, there is a delay after quickcasting, during which you cannot cast another spell (the delay is 1-2 seconds). Quickcast is thus best used as a last resort, either to escape (quickcast root) or finish a target (quickcast DD).
