What is the Interfraternity Council (IFC)?
The Interfraternity Council (IFC) is the governing council for the fraternity community at the Pennsylvania State University. The purpose of the Interfraternity Council (IFC) is to govern the member fraternities, to promote the intellectual, philanthropic, fraternal and social values of the fraternities at the Pennsylvania State University, and to maintain cooperation between these social fraternities, their respective inter/national headquarters, alumni, the State College community, and the Pennsylvania State University.
The IFC is the self-governing body of all member fraternities at Louisiana State University. Do I have to register for recruitment with the IFC? How do I decide what chapter to join? Each person looks for different attributes in a fraternity. Each of our chapters focuses on one or more of the following: academics, campus involvement, leadership, athletics and/or friendship.
