How can I disable the 4-Sight FAX Version Checker in 4-Sight Fax Server?
Open TextEdit and create a new text file named “Internet Options” without the quotes. This file will contain only 2 lines as follows… FileVersion=1.0 AutoUpdateCheck=off Quit Fax Server, then place this file into the Fax Server Data folder under the 4-Sight Fax Server 7 folder and launch Fax Server. When it launches, Fax Server looks in the Fax Server Data folder for the file named Internet Options. If the file is present and contains the line ‘AutoUpdateCheck=off’ then the query to the 4-Sight Fax Web site will be bypassed and Fax Server will proceed to launch.
