• (DynSite version 1.10 only) If you use a HTTP-enabled router for detection, you have to specify one or more sets of digits so that DynSite can identify your external IP address. Go to Setup > Script tab. Tick Identify the IP address to use from these static digits and enter some digits in the box below. For example, if your IP address always begins with 124.32.x.x or 208.64.7.x, enter “124.32. 208.64.7.” w/o the quotes and a blank between the two sets. DynSite will only detect addresses which begin with those figures. • Make sure that the Accept private IP addresses option is cleared in Setup > Connections tab > select your connection > click Configure… > click Options tab. Next, if DynSite picks an external IP address but still not the good one, you can optionally specify some IP addresses to exclude (e.g. some nameservers or the firmware version if it may be confused with an IP address.)
