Why does the home screen display incorrectly when the screen is “flipped” on an HTC S710 or Vox device?

The issue with the S710/Vox is that home screen layouts are typically designed for one particular orientation (either portrait or landscape). This device switches dynamically between the two, while still using the same home screen layout file. Because of that, the background image doesnt fit correctly and some of the components dont align correctly when the orientation is flipped. The height changes too, so fewer plugins will fit on the screen in landscape mode. Basically, Smartphone home screens werent designed to support multiple resolutions from the same file. This is an issue for other layouts too, not only Facade (in particular, any layouts which depend on custom background images and specific plugin positioning). The default “Blue” and “Green” included with the Facade 1.30 version support screen rotation (and the “Sky” version does also, with the exception of a small alignment problem), so this should not be a problem with those layouts.
