Who wrote the MRT Act 2006?
The Medical Radiation Technologist Act 2006 was drafted by Parliamentary Counsel and is based on the health template legislation which was first introduced in this State in the Osteopaths Act. In drafting the Act, Parliamentary Counsel was assisted by submissions from officers of the Health Department, the Radiological Council and MRTs from the three disciplines (Medical Imaging, Radiation Therapy and Nuclear Medicine), including Neil Hicks , the Presiding Member of the Board.
