What is the ICAO English test?
The International Civil Aviation Organisation (ICAO) is a United Nations body with responsibility for international civil aviation governance. ICAO has passed a regulation which requires all member states to demonstrate by March 2008 that their international pilots are proficient in English. The new ICAO standards in relation to language proficiency requirements are:The ICAO proficiency testing is mandatory and is conducted once you have started your course at ISEA.The lowest acceptable score if you are from a non-English speaking country is ICAO English Language Level 4 (operational). If your country’s native language is English, you must achieve an ICAO English Language Level 6 (expert). The ICAO proficiency test will be undertaken once you have started your training with ISEA.
