How do i teach my budgie to talk?
If you have a young budgie, then you can teach it to talk.The older the budgie the more stubborn they get and do not want to talk,so get a tape recorder and say something easy like hello into the recorder over and over, then place the recorder near the cage and press play and do this once a day for a week.
It may have a lot to do with the fact that it is easier to teach a budgie to talk on its own than when you’ve got more than one. That is because alone you would be the center of it’s attention. However it is possible as I have 2 birds as well which have been together since 8 wks of age and they do speak a few short words.They are female as well so it debunks the myth that hens can’t talk. But don’t expect them to talk much if at all as they will always be more interactive with each other. Just keep the words simple and speak to them regularly. Have fun!
