Who runs IAGLR?
IAGLR is run by an elected Board of Directors. The directors are elected annually by the association’s members, and serve three-year terms. Board meetings are chaired by the president, who is elected by the board from among its members and serves a one-year term. Our by-laws require that the board have balanced representation of Canadian and U.S. members. Recently, our by-laws were amended to add two student members to the board, one from Canada and one from the United States. The student directors serve two-year terms. In addition to the directors, IAGLR has an elected secretary and treasurer. The association has several committees, each with its own chair appointed by the board.
