First off, the second example is illegal as discrimination, but it is not hate speech. Now, the reason that hate speech is not illegal is because free speech is guaranteed. If you have an opinion, you have the right to express it. Truth be told, I’m not so sure that’s a bad idea. Of course, some people will express opinions that others don’t like, but that’s a price worth paying.
