What is VNAP?
Voluntary Noise Abatement Procedures are set by the FAA and are the guidelines for departure and arrival patterns, altitudes and Quiet Hours (10:00 PM- 7:00 AM) to Palomar Airport. These are strictly voluntary and are not mandatory. The FAA will only site a pilot for safety issues (i.e. if the Air Traffic Control Tower gives orders based on safety and the pilot does not comply).
