Are MCAT exams required for admissions?
A. MCAT scores are NOT required. While these scores are not what define a good medical school candidate, they will be reviewed along with all other educational background data of each candidate. Applicants for admission to the PMMC English Medical Degree Program at the William C. Gorgas School of Medicine are considered individually on the basis of an interview, transcripts of academic record, two letters of recommendation and a 300 word essay. Our Admissions Committee makes special efforts to select those individuals, who, are best qualified to succeed in the rigorous study of medicine. Q. Where are the clerkships done? A. Required Core clerkships for completion of the medical degree are done in Panama, at the citys main hospitals.
