Why Hypochlorous acid?

0

Hypochlorous acid (HOCL) naturally occurs in the human body and is produced as part of the bodys natural defence mechanism when fighting infection. The biological effect of HOCl on bacteria has been extensively studied. HOCl has broad-spectrum antimicrobial activity and is able to kill micro-organisms very rapidly (Respiratory loss in bacterial cell membrane as a result of an irreversible reaction of HOCl leads to cell death and non-viability).
