Can anyone give me tips on singing?

When I first got serious about singing (a little over a year ago), I had trouble hitting high notes as well. Even now I find it difficult at times, but my range has grown. I practiced singing songs that shifted from low notes and high notes regularly, and even if it sounded bad / tickled my throat, I sang the high notes any way. You feel a little sore after working out, right? It’s a bummer to have your muscles ache, but the soreness you feel is actually a good thing. It’s a response to your muscles being built up and strengthened. Same with your voice. If it hurts to sing, think of it as building up your voice like you do your muscles with you work out. On that note (pun intended, haha) when you work out you know your limits, and you know when to stop before you do your body more harm (hurt yourself or even make yourself feel ill) than good. You need to find this balance with your voice as well. You say that your voice gets “VERY” sore after one song? My suggestion to that is: sing on
