I experienced a situation almost identical to this one, although I’m a boy. Either way, a subtle card would suffice, but anyone that truly and honestly cares about the other person would be satisfied with nothing more than a simple display of admiration or affection in any form, it doesn’t always have to be material. Believe me I know, and I despise Valentines Day in every way possible for reasons such as that.
