How is elbow tendonitis treated?

Most people (90-95%) will get better with resting the elbow and taking anti-inflammatory drugs such as ibuprofen. Sometimes an elbow strap is used for work/recreational purposes. If symptoms continue an injection of steroids can be tried. A small minority of patients who have not responded after several months and whose pain interferes with activity will have surgery to correct the problem.
