What makes Fieldstone Academy Different?
The traditional high school is designed to try to educate a large number of students. The teachers there typically present lesson designed for the average student. That means that either the ones who excel or the ones who may learn more slowly are either bored or frustrated. Online schools, on the other hand, are highly text-based and student are typically required to read large amounts of material and then complete assessments without the help of a teacher. At Fieldstone we have designed a way to add the visual and audio components to the online experience. We try to bridge that gap between the two systems by keeping a teacher in the mix and allowing our students to have all the advantages of an in-classroom experience while preserving the flexibility and personalization of an online course.
