“Whitworth is likely going to try and win the game with their defense and special teams. For us, we have to stop the run and eliminate big plays. Our guys have done a great job in recent weeks of tackling and not allowing the other team to run the football. Our defensive line must defeat their blocks and win the line of scrimmage. The play of our D-line and linebackers will be giant. Their offense is going to try and control the ball and not make mistakes. They run the ball very nicely and are a lot more explosive out of the backfield than last year. Offensively, we must put points on the board and protect the football. Ball security will be paramount because of Whitworth’s pressure-oriented defense. Our players have been upset and disappointed since last year’s loss to them.
