Adipocytes are cells composing the adipose tissues, specialized in storing energy as fat. Therefore, the adipocytes are our energy reserve. The lipids reserves are made of triglycerides. These triglycerides are synthesized in the adopcyte and can go throughout the cell membrane only if they are transformed into fatty acids and glycerol.
