How does IBECs BPL service work?
IBEC’s BPL solution utilizes the existing power lines to bring the signal into your home or business. The cooperative installs our BPL equipment on their electric poles and the signal runs along the medium voltage lines. At a customers home or business the signal is moved to the low voltage line that connects to you. Once you have signed up for service you connect your BPL Modem to your computer or wireless router with an Ethernet cable. Virtually any outlet in your home or business now becomes a port.
