How long do board members serve?
The term of service defined in the bylaws is two years, unless a person is filling the unexpired term of a person who has left the board, in which case it is for the remainder of that term. There is no limitation on the number of consecutive or total terms a person can be elected to, however, many persons serve two terms of service (four years) and then move into other positions of leadership in NNREC and our partner organizations. Terms of service are offset so that only about half the board member terms end in any given year.
