Can Underlay be used for Ceramic tiles?

0

A. Underlay is specifically produced for vinyl flooring being laid on strip timber, plywood and particleboard floors. Ceramic tiles can also be laid over underlay if a rubber adhesive is used (please refer to your ceramic tile distributor for details). The Underlay should be glued as well as stapled or nailed to ensure fixing is adequate and movement is minimised. Underlay should not be laid over surfaces with high moisture build up.
