What is Paper Pulp ?
PAPER PULP consists of mechanically and/or chemically treated fibres. Paper is a network of such fibres and the bond between them is made possible by the pulp and paper mill process.THE PURPOSE OF THIS TREATMENT IS TO GET: * long fibres * flexible fibres * free fibre surface to make swelling and binding possible. THE PULP PRODUCTION CAN BE DIVIDED INTO DIFFERENT PROCESSES * RMP Refiner Mechanical Pulp * TMP Thermo Mechanical Pulp * CTMP Chemical Thermal Mechanical Pulp * CP Chemical Pulp * RP Recovery Pulp (recycled paper pulp) Note: For mixed pulps, i.e consisting of more than one of these pulp types, please specify the predominant one. By increasing the thermal and chemical treatment the fibres will be longer and more flexible, giving, in relation to basic weight (substance), stronger paper. Chemical pulps consume more wood material and will need higher mixing power than mechanical pulps. PAPER & PULP SYSTEM DESIGN PARAMETERS The parameters determining the mixer power needed are: * C
