What are appeal votes?
Answerers can now “Appeal” any final ratings. When an answerer “appeals” a final rating, we will randomly select a group of other Askville users to rate that answer. We will give preference to Askvillers who have expertise in one of the topics that were tagged with the question. If you have been selected to vote on an Appeals rating, it will show up in your green Action Item box located in the upper right-hand corner of your My Askville page. We will reward each Appeal voter with 1 Quest Gold for each Appeal they vote on. All appeal votes will be anonymous. The Appeal process will last 3 days, after which all appeal votes will be added to all existing votes and the final rating of that answer will be recalculated.
