What is Keep Austin Safe?
A. Keep Austin Safe is the City of Austins Red Light Camera Program. Red light cameras will initially be placed at nine intersections identified by the high numbers of red light crashes over the last few years. The activation of the cameras will be phased in over a period of weeks. The first camera will go active May 23, 2008, at the intersection of the I-35 northbound service road and 11th Street.
