What is Budget Billing?
By signing up for our budget billing plan, you can spread out your gas utility payments over the entire year, smoothing out seasonal highs and lows. This plan uses a “levelized process” to adjust for monthly changes in gas consumption and gas costs. We designed Budget Billing with your convenience in mind! With this plan, you can pay the same amount on your energy bill every month for 12 consecutive months. This way, you can avoid the ups and downs in your bill that can be caused by changes in the weather. Budget Billing allows you to budget better for your monthly energy expenses. Call us 24 hours a day, seven days a week, toll-free at 1-800-251-7234, and a Customer Service representative will tell you your Budget Billing amount and sign you up for the plan.
With Budget Billing, we review your past energy use, estimate your total energy costs for the next 12 months, and then simply bill you for 1/12th of that amount each month. This budget amount is reviewed every six months, to ensure the set budget amount is covering your gas use. At that time, your budget amount could increase or decrease based on your actual gas consumption.
