How Do You Clean A Flower Vase?
Mold and grime can easily accumulate at the bottom of a flower vase, leaving an unsightly residue. If you’re using a narrow mouthed vase, you may not be able to get to the grime with a traditional sponge or scrub brush. Fortunately, this easy home solution makes cleaning a flower vase a cinch. Assemble your vases, baking soda and uncooked rice. Empty the vases of all easily removable contents and give them a quick rinse with warm water. Now fill each vase with 1/3 cup baking soda, 1/3 cup dry rise and enough water to fill the vase about halfway. Cover the opening with your hand and shake vigorously. The rice will remove the grime or mold and the baking soda will disinfect and eliminate any lingering odor. You can also substitute dry lentils for the rice. Rinse the jar with water and set it out to dry. It’s clean!
