Do used books sell well on eBay?
I have found, from my own experience, there are a few ways to use ebay to sell books. First, you can use their Half.com service to sell books similar to the way you sell them via Amazon. Basically, you list your copy and the price you want for it and when someone is willing to pay that cost for that book. It will stay listed until someone buys it. Your other option is to list it on ebay as an auction, but from a search I just did, this seems to have very few results. You would have to keep the original price low and hope it goes up or even gets a bid. Money wise, to post on eBay you have to pay 20-35 cents to post an item, plus 5.25% on the closing fee. That is for a simple 7 day auction and, if your item is not sold, you have to pay the cost to auction it again. With Half.com you pay a commission to them that is 15% minimum once the item is sold and your item remains listed until you remove it or it is sold.
