What to know before taking Mobic?
There is an increased risk of developing life threatening conditions such as strokes or heart attacks in people taking NSAIDS such as Mobic. This risk increases for long term users. There is also a risk of problems with the stomach or intestines if you are taking NSAIDS. Sometimes these conditions can be life threatening especially if you develop sudden gastrointestinal problems as they can occur without any warning. Mobic should not be taken if you are allergic to any other NSAIDS or to Aspirin or Meloxicam. If you have any conditions such as stomach ulcers, asthma, bowel problems, liver disease, heart disease, hypertension, diverticulosis, history of strokes, or kidney disease, you should tell your doctor as you might need to have special tests to determine a safe dosage of Mobic. Mobic should not be taken by pregnant women or women who are breastfeeding as it could be harmful to an unborn or nursing baby.
