How long will a log burn?
Tests by Natural Resources Canada have determined that the log will produce heat and flame in a total of 138 minutes on average. This is a .8kg log of 7.5 inches and 3.5 inches in diametre. Burn time is determined by various factors such as the conditions of draft, wind, and controlled burn. Obviously when there is wind and large amounts of oxygen the fuel will burn faster than under controlled burns.
