Bush stayed out of the spotlight today. Their surrogates were out front making the rounds on the Sunday talk shows. CNN’s Patty Davis is covering the Gore campaign and is once again outside the vice president’s official residence here in town. PATTY DAVIS, CNN CORRESPONDENT: Well, Gene, Vice President Al Gore is here at his official residence in Washington and you can hear Gore and Bush supporters who are across the street from the vice president’s residence chanting. Also, cars honking their horns as they go by. I don’t know if Vice President Al Gore can hear that inside of his residence, but he stepped outside today to go to church.
