When can baby have tap/bottled water?

We would buy the nursery water in the beginning, but then started using tap around 2 months or so as long as you know your water is safe, if you live in a city then your usually good to go, but call them to make sure. If anything buy a filter, but I think it’s unnecessary. His pediatrician said at 6 months he could use city water with no problem. There have been tests done that bottled water and tap water are practically the same and they don’t have to have the bottled water inspected either (was on good morning america) and they are saying tap water is the way to go plus you save money too. I don’t see the point of boiling water, but if you want to go for it. My son is almost 10 months and he is healthy as can be, he drank tap water. I know a lot of us our parents used tap water and we are just fine. Back in the days they didn’t do all the boiling and buying bottled water, geez I remember my grandma telling me that she used cow’s milk b/c she wasn’t able to breastfeed with all of her

I never boiled water for making bottles for my babies, even when they were young. Tap water is relatively safe for them, but if you are still worried then get a water filter for your faucet (I like PUR 3-stage filters). It gets all the nasty cysts and sediment out, and helps reduce a lot of contaminants that can be found in tap water.
