What is the e-voucher childcare scheme?

Childcare vouchers are a government approved childcare initiative. The e-voucher childcare scheme enables you to allocate part of your pre-tax and NI salary towards childcare costs. If you are a parent or guardian, you can receive up to 243 per calendar month in e-vouchers to pay for approved childcare costs in relation to a child or children up to the age of 16 for whom you are legally responsible. The 243 monthly maximum applies regardless of how many children you actually have.
