Whats so great about sliced bread?
The only thing sliced bread has for it is the convenience factor. Being able to crank out sandwiches for 3 kids in a jiffy makes it a terrific timesaver, so for Moms or Dads in a hurry, or the Babysitter trying to make something quick and easy, it can’t be beat. However, a fresh-baked deli loaf of bread is unmatched in flavor and texture. If you get good at it, home-made bread can be awesome, if a bit time consuming. Pre sliced may score on the quick and easy front, but for the discriminating eater, the thicker slices of a real loaf of bread are unmatched.
