• A dial around number, also called a 10-10 number, is normally a 7 digit number you dial before placing your phone call. In some cases a dial around number can also be a toll free access number that you use before placing your call. Using a dial around number allows you to “dial around” your regular long distance carrier to receive a cheaper rate and you can also use a dial around even if you have no primary long distance carrier. In many situations, the use of a dial around will give you the best rate for making international calls compared to direct dial long distance.
