Because the nervous system controls everything that happens in your body, it is possible that pain or discomfort in areas away from your spine could be related to a subluxation. When there is pressure on a nerve at a given point, it is possible that every tissue that nerve goes to could be affected. It is also not uncommon to see the symptoms of other bodily disorders diminish after the subluxation has been corrected. Sometimes a direct adjustment to the elbow, shoulder, knee, or any extremity is needed to help speed the healing process at that point.
