Lawfully registered .50 BMG rifles can be disposed of as follows: • The .50 BMG rifle can be sold to a licensed gun dealer who has a .50 BMG Rifle permit; or • The .50 BMG rifle can be relinquished to a local police or sheriff department. CALL FIRST TO MAKE ARRANGEMENTS TO RELINQUISH A .50 BMG RIFLE. DO NOT GO TO THE POLICE OR SHERIFF’S OFFICE WITHOUT FIRST MAKING ARRANGEMENTS; or, • Remove the .50 BMG rifle from the state; or, • Destroy the .50 BMG rifle.
