What Causes a Multi Sensor Error?
There is one report of this error on an iPF8000. The resolution was as follows: Looking at the printer I realized that the sun, which was really low in the sky, was streaming into the room and hitting the platen at the head home position. The sun was reflecting onto the sensors and blinding them. Pulled the blind and tried loading & unloading many times and it was fine!
