Yes. You can begin using your Arch Card and gift certificates before or after you register them in your Upromise account. The first time you register each Arch Card in your Upromise account you will earn 1% college savings on its original value and any reload amounts that were added during the previous 30 days. The retroactive 30-day period only occurs once per Arch Card. If you do not register the Arch Card in your Upromise account within 30 days of the date of purchase, you will not be eligible to earn the 1% college savings on the original value. Once the retroactive 30-day period has expired or if the Arch Card is re-registered in a different Upromise account, you will only be eligible to earn 1% college savings on reload activity that occurs after the Arch Card has been registered.
