What is the food like at Van Mildert?
One of the most common queries about college life is the quality of the catered food. How good it is depends on whom you ask, but all agree that it is of a considerably higher standard than many other colleges.Food varies from edible to very good, and menus generally operate on a 4/5-week rotation. Breakfast consists of unlimited self-service fruit juice, coffee, tea, cereals, toast, fruit, and a selection of hot food from 8am to 9.30am. Lunch, served 12.15pm-1.30pm is always a substantial hot meal, a dessert, chips or potatoes and vegetables. Dinner is served from 5.30pm until 6.45pm.
