Is Ice Fishing Really Fun? Friday December 23, 2005A set of holes had been drilled through a good 12 inches of ice in the vicinity of Rocky Flats, off the north shore of Elevenmile Reservoir. A blackout hut, which would turn the lake below into an interactive aquarium, had been positioned over the holes, the floating chunks of ice dipped from the water with a slush spoon.
