What is split-shift scheduling?

0

If the referendums fail, the district will begin implementing split-shift schedules. If the district is forced to divide students into split shifts, those shift might look like this: Student Shift #1: 6:00 am – 12:30 pm Student Shift #2: 1:00 pm – 7:30 pm These schedules do not include the transportation time to and from school either by bus or by parents. Students in the early shift may need to be ready for bus pickup by 5:15 to 5:30 a.m., which is early for those children who like to sleep in. Students on the late shift will be arriving home on their buses by 8:15 p.m., which is very late for those children who normally go to bed around 8:00 p.m.
