How does TOEFL ITP differ from the other TOEFL testing programmes?
The TOEFL test is available in two ways: through the “official” international testing programme and through the Institutional Testing Programme. Under the official programme, the test is administered in two formats: paper-based and internet-based. Individual applicants register for the test, submit the proper fee, and may request that official copies of their scores be sent to designated institutions and agencies. The TOEFL ITP is a low-tech and cost-effective method of testing groups of students of any size within classrooms. The test is administered by the academic institution and scores from the ITP are reported only to the testing institution.
