You can’t. Safe Mode only loads only the drivers needed to run the OS. Sound isn’t one of those drivers. So, no driver, no sound. If your computer only runs in Safe Mode, you really need to have it repaired. You may be able to fix the problem by simply running the Repair Console. USING THE WINDOWS REPAIR CONSOLE (works for both XP and Vista) Put your XP disk into your CD drive and restart your system. This will start the XP installation process.
