What is CU Opera?
CU opera is the staged performance wing of the voice area at the University of Colorado. It has been designated as a Program of Excellence by the Colorado Commission of Higher Education. Alumni of this program are currently on the rosters of opera houses worldwide. How many opera performances do you do each year? CU Opera presents three fully staged productions per academic year and two productions that run in repertory during the summer months. All operas have original set, costume, and lighting design.
