What is a Reiki Share or Reiki Circle?
A group of Reiki practitioners who gather together to share Reiki with one another is usually called a Reiki Share or Reiki Circle. Most often they will be held in someone’s home or office and there will be one or more massage tables set up. One practitioner will lie on the table and the other practitioners will perform an abbreviated Reiki healing session on them. Each practitioner takes a turn as the receiver until everyone has been treated. Most shares will last 1 ½ – 2 hours and a receiver can be treated by up to 5 other Reiki practitioners. Needless to say, it can be very powerful. A receiver is generally on the table up to 20 minutes at most.
