Why the cost of $3 per bag?
Following collaboration with the business community, we are offering the first set of four Yellow Bags to new program registrants free of charge to encourage small business to choose the service. The $3 charge covers the cost of the collection and the disposal of the garbage, the collection and processing of the recyclables, as well as the administration of the program. The Yellow Bag program is a self-funded, not for profit program.
