How to Measure Temperature change?
If you want to measure the temperature of a river or a stream then first you should pick two locations that are similar two each other. Both locations should have similar depth, flow rate, width, and exposure to sunlight. The two locations can’t be near each other they have to be at least 1.6 kilometers away. Of coarse if you want to be accurate then you should use the same measuring tool for both locations and also the measuring should be taken at the same time. You should use an alcohol-filled glass thermometer fitted with a protective metal jacket, an electronic thermometer, or a temperature probe. Don’t use mercury thermometers because if they are broken then mercury compound will float in the water and they are toxic to the human body and the aquatic life in the water. A large difference in temperature (2 degrees or greater) indicates the possibility of thermal pollution. If there is no change or very little change (less than 2 degrees) then you can assume that there is thermal po
