Mold is a fungus that thrives on organic matter, and it appears in a wide variety of forms. Take the leather outside. As you remove mold, particles are released into the air. Wipe it down using a clean and dry cloth. Use a toothbrush to clean crevices or areas that you can’t access with the cloth. Mix a solution of soap and water in a bucket. Apply the solution to a clean cloth and wipe down the object again and keep it out the sun if you don’t want to risk fading then apply leather conditioner to the object once it is completely dry.
